Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Generic BSN) – (4-Year Program)

 The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Generic BSN) at Zatti of Nursing is a comprehensive 4-year undergraduate program designed for individuals who have successfully completed F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or an equivalent qualification. The curriculum and degree are fully recognized by the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) and widely accepted both nationally and internationally.

Nursing is a dynamic and vital profession that involves the autonomous and collaborative care of people of all ages—individuals, families, groups, and communities—whether sick or healthy, across all settings. The discipline encompasses health promotion, illness prevention, and the compassionate care of the ill, disabled, and terminally ill. Key roles in nursing also include advocacy, health education, research, policy development, leadership in health systems, and the creation of safe healthcare environments.

 

Aims & Objectives of the Program

The BSN (Generic) Program at Zatti of Nursing aims to prepare competent, ethical, and compassionate nursing professionals who will:

  • Apply cognitive, psychomotor, and affective skills rooted in humanities, natural sciences, behavioral sciences, and nursing to deliver holistic care to individuals, families, groups, and communities.
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based care across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of healthcare.
  • Assess clients’ ability to meet basic needs and perform activities of daily living, ensuring personalized and respectful care.
  • Formulate appropriate nursing diagnoses related to basic human needs and health conditions.
  • Uphold and implement ethical, legal, socio-cultural, and professional standards consistently in nursing practice.
  • Plan and evaluate health education interventions to promote wellness, prevent disease, and support the health of individuals, families, and communities.
  • Recognize the importance of nursing research and actively support or engage in research-based practice to enhance patient care outcomes.
  • Function effectively in diverse healthcare environments while demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and lifelong learning.
