Program Overview

The Diploma in Community Midwife (CMW) is a two-year specialized program aimed at training female students to become skilled midwives capable of delivering essential maternal and newborn care, especially in rural and underserved communities. Community Midwives play a critical role in reducing maternal and infant mortality by providing safe deliveries, antenatal care, and reproductive health education.

Program Duration

  • Total Duration: 2 Years
  • Clinical Practicum: Integrated throughout the course in affiliated health centers and hospitals

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Qualification: Matriculation with Science (Biology)
  • Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate
  • Age Limit: 14 to 30 years
  • Gender: Female only
